What Is A Chevy Forum?

Have you ever been dumbfounded by an issue with your Chevy vehicle or just wanted to meet others who share your enthusiasm? If you answered yes then you should defiantly join the Chevy forums. Forums are a modern day equivalent of a traditional bulletin board. The main idea of a forum is to provide a place where people can go and interact and discuss specific topics. Forums are also useful for the information that one can learn on them.

The forum has everything from vehicles soon to be released, to those hard to find additions for classics and new models. Some people even use the forum to sell their vehicles. Yet still there are others who use the forum to learn the history of the company itself. Either way you’re guaranteed not to be disappointed.

Have you ever wondered how the Chevrolet Company came into existence? Well in 1911, William C. Durant wanted to regain his reputable reputation after being ousted as a founder for General Motors. In order to regain his reputation he and Louis-Joseph Chevrolet created the Chevrolet Company. The vehicles as well as the company name derived from Louis Chevrolet, a race car driver and fellow founder of the company. Chevrolet Forum

It is common misconception that people generally believe that the first Chevy automobile was a truck. In fact the first Chevy vehicle was a car called the “Classic Six”. During the days of production for the Classic Six, Chevy did not manufacture it nor produce it with there now common logo. It was not until 1914 that the first “Chevy Bow-tie” first appeared.

Although in present times, the Chevy truck is the most popular and common vehicle around, their very first truck was not created until 1918. The unification of the Chevy Corporation with General Motors was land marked by the sale of their very first truck ever. Shortly after, in 1923 the first Chevy export assembly plant was established in Denmark and the 1-millionth car was built.

Their extensive support of the United States troops as well as their support for their country was evident from 1940 to 1942. Not only did this company manufacture vehicles, but in 1940 they were responsible for forging and machining 75-mm shells for the U. S. War Department. Ask anyone in the forums why Chevy is called “The heartbeat of America”, and they are bound to tell you the same thing.

No matter what it is that you are looking for when it comes to Chevy’s, you are bound to find something in the forum that will catch your attention.
